Our Little Roses Mission Page
San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Mission Trip (March 2005)
Our Little Roses (OLR) is a Mission started in 1988 by
Dr. Diana Frade, wife of the Rt. Rev. Leo Frade, Bishop of
Southeast Florida. Its an orphanage for girls. Presently 75 girls from the
worst poverty, neglect, abandoned or just found wondering
the streets live in OLR. The girls, aged from 3 to 17 live,
learn and grow in a warm nurturing, loving atmosphere. They
study English, math, religion and all of the essentials
like, cooking and sewing. The oldest has left and is now in
college.
Its become a cause as much as a home. Many Episcopal
churches from South Florida have committed their time, love
and resources to these girls. Honduras is the poorest
country in Central America - sandwiched between Nicaragua,
El Salvador and Guatemala. While the world may not change
overnight, the love and opportunity given to these girls
shows what can happen and gives us hope that the world is
changing - one little girl at a time.

"Lord make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred let us know love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is discord, union. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy."
"La marca del señor nosotros son instrumento de su paz. Dónde hay el odio sepamos, el amor. Dónde hay la herida, el perdón. Dónde hay la discordia, la unión. Dónde hay la duda, la fe. Dónde hay la desesperación, la esperanza."
